2026 Staggered Start
Highland Springs Elementary School
Dear HSES Families,
We hope you are having a wonderful summer! We wanted to remind you to mark your calendars for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.
Henrico County Public Schools is introducing a new staggered First Day schedule to help make the transition to elementary school smoother for our incoming Pre-K & Kindergarten students.
This staggered start gives our youngest learners an opportunity to become familiar with the school building, classroom routines, and daily expectations before all students attend together.
For additional back-to-school information and helpful resources, please visit Henrico County Public Schools website
Continue enjoying your summer! We can’t wait to welcome our Highland Springs Springers back in August as we begin an exciting year of “It's our time to Shine...Clear Learning. Purposeful Teaching. Student Growth."
